Starting in 2009, the journey for AZ Consulting has been a steady upward trajectory. Over the years we have moved from implementing systems for large corporations and municipalities, to working with smaller select clientele and winning a renowned African award on the way.

2011

First Corporate

AZ created a web-based solution for Transnet allowing them to map out all of their processes to all shipping ports for all cargo types.

 We worked alongside the City of Cape Town implementing SAP systems.

Our work with MyFanPark helped to win the African Media and Entertainment App of the Year.

 MyFanPark

MyFanPark is a newly launched platform that is transforming the way fans connect with local celebrities. The platform had immediate success, winning the 2020 Media and Entertainment App of the year in Africa.

Problem Statement   

MyFanPark (MFP) had an extensive network of sports and entertainment celebrities but needed an effective and professional platform to connect them with their fanbase. MFP needed a tech partner which would help build their ideas into a digital solutions.

Our Approach

The designing process was tailored during highly interactive workshops with the MFP client base, to get an understanding of their ethos and customer behaviour. This allowed AZ Consulting to build the Proof of Concept in a 2-week sprint, assisting the team in creating the Minimum Viable Product (MVP). This was the blueprint set which led towards the platform becoming an award winning App.

    MultiChoice

MultiChoice is Africa’s leading entertainment company. They strived to become more competitive in the market through cutting costs and innovating to incorporate a new Video On Demand (VOD) system.

Problem Statement   

MultiChoice needed to become more competitive in the market and innovate with a new Video On Demand (VOD) system.

Our Approach

AZ suggested a new tech stack and the project grew over time. The system was initially built for Video On Demand play-out and content that was then ingested. Through the success of the VOD solution it was then expanded onto several Smart TV channels (Hulu, Roku,  Amazon Fire).  It was also grown with the companies ever growing and complex scheduling and overlays.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         

 Liberty

Liberty are a leading financial services and property holding company in South Africa.

Problem Statement   

The Client Experience (CX) at Liberty was antiquated and all client support queries were handled by a call centre.  Liberty wanted to improve this with new customer channels for an increasingly younger target demographic.

Our Approach

AZ Consulting reviewed the Liberty Customer Experience and found that their clients wanted immediate service via an app.  AZ designed and implemented a short-term insurance app using modern UX Design principles.

Transnet is a large South African rail, port and pipeline company that contributes directly to the economic transformation of South Africa.

 Problem Statement                                   

Over the past 20 years, Transnet has invested in several systems with the aim of running the South African ports. However, these various systems did not allow consolidated data collection throughout all the ports. Transnet approached AZ Consulting to build a standardised platform to refresh all the non-container port systems in South Africa.

 Our Approach

AZ created a web-based solution built on an Oracle tech stack with comprehensive analysis and design phases. All of these processes were mapped at all ports for all cargo types, then built and implemented at all shipping ports. The new platform was efficiently implemented, saving time and cost.
